For the past 11 years, Young at Heart (YAH) Ghana has been on a mission to cultivate a passionate and enthusiastic community of volunteers while equipping them with essential 21st-century skills. As we continue to inspire and empower our members, YAH has launched a masterclass series as part of our 11-year journey. This series will serve as a platform to deepen knowledge, foster innovation, and continue our legacy of impactful service.
Young at Heart (YAH) Ghana successfully held two impactful masterclass events in August and September, with over 60 volunteers in attendance. The first session, titled Networking Dynamics: Introvert and Extrovert in Professional Settings, set the stage for understanding how volunteers with different personalities can effectively collaborate and thrive in a professional environment. The highly interactive session fostered a deeper appreciation for diverse working styles. The second masterclass, The New Age: A Writer’s Perspective, offered valuable insights into the creative process behind advertisements. Volunteers gained a behind-the-scenes look at the writer’s role, learning how ideas evolve from concept to execution. The session brought clarity and a deeper understanding of the creative industry from a professional writer’s standpoint, inspiring and informing participants.
The team is gearing up for its third masterclass, scheduled for October 26th, on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Content Optimization. This session will focus on developing website and online content that ranks higher in search engine results, providing essential skills for today’s digital landscape.
What makes these masterclasses truly special is that the resource persons are selected from within our own volunteer community. This approach not only fosters growth within the organization but also equips our members with the skills and confidence to make a broader impact in the world. By building each other up, we continue to strengthen YAH Ghana’s mission and legacy.
